Writing is probably my least favorite part about Japanese.
I have never seen Matsumoto Jun’s hair this short before. Ever. In the 10 years I’ve watched him (well more like 3 but 10 years of his career in dramas/music) his forehead was barely visible. I am seriously in shock right now.
So with Ouran High School Host Club already made into a drama, JPA released a poll of which animes should be made into a live action movie as well as the ones that should not be.
Here’s the list:
Should Not:
Should Be:
I really loved Vampire Knight. I say loved because after like chapter 60 something I stopped reading it. But I loved the anime. My only problem is that Kaname is too amazing. Lol just kidding but it’ll be hard to pull it off without it becoming another Twilight. It’d be pretty long too. And some of the elements, I don’t know if it could be pulled off. If it did become a live movie/drama, I’d prefer a Korean adaption.
I’m not sure if I can actually consider myself a fangirl. I say I have fangirl moments but honestly I’m not a true fangirl in my opinion. I am a fan but not the whole package if that make sense. I see kpop fangirls as the ones as the die hard fans. The ones that know everything about groups, join the fanclubs, are pretty much obsessed with groups, and are completely bias toward their group. Yes I love DBSK but I’m not going to sit here and say “DBSK is the best group that has every walked the planet and no one will ever compare.” When I hear things like that, I start to think people are very illogical.
First, liking a group is based off of personal preferences and biases. Just because one person likes a group, the whole world doesn’t have to like the group. Check YT for an example. Type in a kpop song and take ten minutes to look through all the comments. I can promise you that one person, at the very least, is going to disagree and say how they dislike the group and someone else is going to come along and say something like “blah group” is the best and no one compares or you don’t know good music. Don’t pass your opinion off to other people and expect them to agree with you always. It is a reason why it is called YOUR opinion.
It really annoys me to see people say things like that and their reasoning is flawed. It’s nice when a group looks nice and hot but if their’s no talent, what’s the point of liking them?
And another thing. It also annoys me to see people say things like, “Kpop is better than that American trash.” Now I listen to my fair share of both Korean, Japanese, and American music. Yes I listen to more Asian music but I don’t conclude music from America as lower on the scale of quality of music. I’m pretty sure you have a Asian version of any American song. And at that, some companies get music from American producers. So wouldn’t that make the amazing Kpop your listening to trashy kpop since it is technically from America?
Don’t get me wrong, I really like kpop. It’s just the extreme fans that work my nerves and say senseless things. I’m not an anti Kpop fan by any means, but then again I’m not exactly a fan girl. This post inspired me.
Any thoughts?

Before I start, this could be a controversial topic but it’s pretty much a rant by me. Mostly because this is my opinion and not everyone on the web agrees with me. It’s pretty equivalent to me asking if Kdramas are better than Jdramas or is Kpop better than Jpop or vice versa in any of those situations. However I’m not saying you need to agree with me. Actually I’d like to hear others opinions. I just like to say this before I offend anyone or strike a nerve. Are you still there? Okay here we go
I don’t understand why this just hit me out of nowhere. Why do I feel like comparing Korean and Japanese guys? I don’t know. Maybe it’s because when I was first into Japanese dramas and Japanese music, I thought those guys were the finest things on earth. But then when DBSK came along….that idea flew out my head. I’m such a sucker for Korean guys now.
But then, this brings up the topic of “What really differentiates the two?”? Good question. Not much actually. To be honest with you, if I saw an Asian guy walking down the street, I couldn’t tell you where he’s from unless he spoke. There’s not many features that differ between the two actually. But in the wonderful world of kpop and jpop, people have names. So it’s easy to tell by that where they are from.
I’m not going to get into personalities because honestly you can’t give a single personality trait to a whole population. There is always going to be a few exceptions. So that leaves me with physical characteristics. If you outright ask me what type of guys I think are hot, I’ll tell you Asian guys. If you ask me specifically, I’ll tell you Korean guys. Hands down.
First I have to talk about their body. Particularly their build. These guys are toned. Beyond toned. I’m pretty sure any guy could get toned but I just tend to see more Korean guys vs Japanese Guys. Of course I have examples
But like I said, you aren’t going to see EVERY Korean guy looking like that. Though that would be very nice
But there are some Japanese guys that take care of their body…
So I guess there’s a handful everywhere. Besides that, the only other thing that separates them to me, is how I guess you could say manly they look. Many Japanese guys just look too cute and kind of feminine to me. Not to say some Korean guys don’t but in general it seems that there are quite a bit of “cute” or “kawaii”Japanese guys.
And for those hot Koreans…
I guess this was just a post to rant and post pictures of eye pleasing Asian guys….secretly.

Here I am once again finding random things. This time, it’s ninja names. I was randomly browsing a site and loved this pin that showed all the ninja names by letter. If it’s not there anymore here it is:
Mine is Zushikichichikatofu
How amazing does that sound? You know most of this is reminding me of hiragana.
What’s yours?

This song is beautiful. It’s an insert song in Gundam Seed Destiny. I’m always downloading songs from dramas/animes.

Coming from a girl who used to despise Korean drama for no apparent reason without even watching one, I don’t understand why I thought like that. I’ve watched one full Kdrama, Playful Kiss, and I actually enjoyed it. Of course there are difference between the two but I think I might actually like them. The differences I spot kind of change my perspective of them but I don’t see why I can’t throw a couple of Korean drama under my belt.
Acting: I was going to do a Actors/Actresses section, but I think that varies on personal preference. I could say Korean dramas have hotter actors but that’s my opinion. So what I have noticed in comparison of Korean and Japanese dramas, Korean actors tend to me more into their roles. Some may call it exaggeration (even I did in the beginning) but I think they really play their roles to a T. Not to say Japanese actors are stiff and lifeless but I just feel that Korean actors tend to portray emotion better.
Plot: No matter how hard I try, I can’t ever figure out the plot in Japanese dramas. I don’t ever know what going to happen. It’s crazy. I think I know but it doesn’t happen or at least not in the order I think. Korean dramas on the other hand tend to be somewhat predictable. I can usually tell what is going to happen next. Usually. I guess you could say some of them are too cliche.
Number of Episodes: I have to talk about this. I think one of the things that turned me away from Korean dramas. Most Japanese dramas last about 10 to 14 episodes. Acutally haven’t watched one with 14 but that’s giving and taking a few. Korean dramas though, can have from 16- nearly 60 episodes. Probably more. That is why I have the attention span of a Japanese drama. By the time I reach episode 10 or 11 of a Korean drama, I’m ready for it to be over.
Language: Well obviously there’s two different languages. Japanese and Korean. I don’t think its really comparable though. Another personal preference or even not relevant to some. Although I don’t fluently speak Japanese, I understand bits and parts of it since I’ve started learning Japanese. But I think Korean is a beautiful language to listen to.
Character development/Details: I’ve got to say because Korean dramas are so long typically, there is more time for character growth and more attention to details. Sometimes in Japanese dramas, it’s so short that it’s like one episode they hate each other and the next they are lovers.
Again, many things are just personal preferences. I actually haven’t watched a full Japanese drama sine Juui Dolittle back in January. Now I’m watching my second Kdrama in a row, and I’m loving it. You’re Beautiful is amazing.

Ah I miss this show. I nearly cried when it ended
I randomly got the urge to watch the show, at one in the morning. And here I am boasting about how HILARIOUS this episode is. Miyasako Hiroyuki is the funniest guy I’ve seen on the show
Just a little blurb.
