I’m close to giving up on Yamapi.

Sigh.

I’ve had a long road with Yamapi. He’s one of the primary founders of my jpop roots and it’s a sad thing that I’m becoming less and less fond of him. I guess you could say it really began spiraling out of control when he left NEWS, which I totally saw coming. Every single he’s released after that I’ve tried to listen to and like but…that’s unfortunately not the case.

And his recent album ERO followed suit. Maybe it’s the change of genres, I’m not really too sure. Regardless, I think I’m ready to close this chapter.

I’m just going to ignore this video for the rest of my life.

What a terrible song, but quite the interesting video.

I expected more from the teaser, but once again I have been disappointed.

I admit, they do look like they are having fun.

I am quite happy that MYNAME decided to release an original song in Japanese and not a remake of Hello and Goodbye.

Okay Yamapi.

I’m really starting to have a like-dislike relationship with Yamapi. For some reason right after he left NEWS, there are times I’m on board with what he’s doing and then there are times when I’m like what are you doing. I’m getting mixed feelings about this.

The song is much better than Ai, Texas. I like it, don’t love it enough for it to make it on my iPod though. He sounds average here, nothing too impressive. I’ve seen too many flashy kpop videos so this video looks a bit blah to me. I don’t know if I’ll be sticking around for the full version.

The song sounds worse in Japanese.

I usually love when songs are done in Japanese, because I can actually sing along to them, but this….no. I think it’s mostly due to their Japanese not being too hot yet. I’m still standing by my stance that it was too early for them to debut in Japan.
