Sadly, that’s how I have to describe Yoseob’s album. I didn’t connect with the title track and the rest of the album was pretty bland to me. Even Then I had the possibility to be a great song but something about it didn’t click. I think it was a matter of the tracks not being strong enough for me.

Long time, no posts (2/2)

1. Gangnam Style surpasses 500 million views: Wow. I really didn’t expect this to blow up like this. I swear I just sent this video to my best friend to see how she’d react, which was really about the time he released the video, and now it’s like everywhere. First he was at the VMA’s, then I heard Gangnam Style on the radio, Gangnam Style was played at my homecoming dance,  and today at my school there was a  Gangnam Style flash mob at a pep rally. Crazy stuff.
   
2. Block B makes their long awaited comeback: I’m not going to say I’m a big fan of Block B, but there are a few songs I do like by them. Listening to their newest album made me remember why I don’t really listen to Block B. They aren’t exactly my taste of genre. Personally I didn’t like the album too much, probably because once again I’m not into their style of music really. I will say I like Movie’s Over and 넌 어디에, perhaps because they are the softer tracks of the album, especially the latter. It’s a fact, I’m just a sucker for ballads.

Apart from the rap in 로맨틱하게, which is about (85% of the song) I like the song. So essentially I like the chorus.

As for the title track, love the video, don’t care for the song.

I do believe I am all caught up with kpop! Finally for this week. Hopefully over the weekend I will post my review of To The Beautiful You.

Finally, an article shedding light on my recent concern.

What is my concern you may ask?

I don’t understand some of the fans in this Nichkhun incident.

By now if you stay up to date in the kpop world, you may be aware of what I’m talking about. If not, there are articles here, here, here, here, oh and here. I won’t bother reiterating what is already written in those articles. As soon as I saw the headlines I knew this was going to blow up. I waited a bit to make this post because I needed some more facts to come out before I jumped to conclusions.

Some people do realize that what happened is quite the serious matter and can’t be waved off with a simple sorry or the dreaded oppa didn’t mean it. I can’t tell you how much I hate that phrase. Yes, people do make mistakes, but that doesn’t mean that this should be swept under the rug. I’m not going to say he deserves it because of whatever happened to Block B because in my opinion that’s inaccurate judgement.

It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t necessarily drunk, what matters is he was driving after drinking.

Drinking and driving simply. Or if you prefer, driving under the influence.

It is irresponsible to do so, point blank. He is in fact guilty of that. That being said, whatever punishment the law deems appropriate should be served. It doesn’t matter if his alcohol level wasn’t “that high”, it already happened. He can’t take that night back, all he can do is learn from it, accept the consequences, and move forward.

But that’s not what this post is about. This post is about the useless things fans are saying in defense of him or extremely against him. To a certain extent, it’s alright to defend him though I don’t necessarily agree. Though to think he isn’t at fault…..no no. He bears quit a bit. At the same time, wishing terrible things such as death, creating suicide petitions, or threats are just uncalled for. I decided against showing some comments like I do in my usual posts like this, there’s was just too many.

Definitely my favorite rookies of 2012.

It was really a toss up between B.A.P, EXO, and NU’EST. Maybe because I’ve been exposed to B.A.P three times this year as opposed to twice (NU’EST) and once (EXO) music wise that I’ve gotten more time to like them. B.A.P didn’t even debut with my typical favorite genre but they caught my attention and have kept it so far. But regardless of all I’m saying, I still will not consider myself a Baby.

What inspired this post? I just finished listening to their mini album. I’m definitely buying it.

Time to follow another Teen Top comeback.

I swear they just made a comeback. Usually I have a problem with comebacks (I don’t see why groups need to take half a year hiatuses) but remembering that this is the kpop world, comebacks aren’t that frequent. Anyway, from the teaser released I am hoping there is some sort of ballad on these album. It would fit with this concept.

I will say it isn’t the most professional teaser I’ve seen. It looks like fans put it together.

This sure sounds better than their debut song.

Maybe I shouldn’t speak too soon since it’s just a teaser. And technically, this is a new group.

I’m not sure if you remember, perhaps not since they were one of the rookies that fell off the planet, but A-PRINCE debuted as TAKEN in November of last year. As of now, they changed their name and made some changes to the members. They debuted with Young Boy, and I couldn’t even take them seriously.

They looked ridiculous then. But now I think I may look at them in a more positive light.
