I know…I know, I’m so behind on this. Literally months behind. I’m hoping by at least the end of the year I’ll finish this up. This is exactly why I have yet to ever complete NaNoWriMo, I’m so inconsistent during the school year. If it was during the summer, I’d be all over it because during the summer my creative juices are overflowing and I don’t have school to worry about. I doubt I’ll do it next year though, I’ll be busy worrying about college. Anyway enough ranting, onto the story!

After high school, Vivienne didn’t expect to keep in touch with her sister Zoey. Zoey had always been on the opposite end of the spectrum in comparison to Vivienne. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been in my sister’s shadow. Relatives always remember Ashylee’s name but I am referred to as “her sister”. Not Mariah, just Ashylee’s sister. Not much set Ashylee and I apart. She is two inches taller than me, has hazel eyes instead of blue, and has long wavy brown hair as opposed to my long straight locks.
Cassidy’s fingertips brushed against the rough surface of the canvas. It was beautiful, just like him. Nothing could reflect the absolute beauty that radiated from the painting. The long hours he spent, once thought of as wasted time, was actually put to good use. She smiled as she watched the man rummaging through various drawers, frantically searching for a color.
“It’s beautiful baby. Absolutely beautiful,” she whispered. He stopped looking through the draws for a second to turn and look at her and gave her a sheepish smile. “I…uhm was going to give it to you for your birthday but-“ she silenced him by grabbing his hand caressing it gently.
