Day 34: 35 Day Kpop/Jpop Song Challenge

Day 34: Favorite Arashi song

Me and Arashi go waaaayyyy back. About four or five years back with KAT-TUN. I’m straying away from them just because they keeep producing the same sounding songs to me and oh my gosh they were like almost always singing together without solo parts but anyway that’s a different story. But at my peak of liking Arashi this was my song. Well mostly because I loved Hana Yori Dango.

Day 32: 35 Day Kpop/Jpop Song Challenge

Day 32: Favorite Hikaru Utada song

I love a lot of Hikaru’s songs, mostly her English ones though. So for this day I think it’d be nice if I actually picked a Japanese one. This one always makes me think of Hana Yori Dango when I listen to it.

Day 27: 35 Day Kpop/Jpop Song Challenge

Day 27: Favorite UVERworld song

UVERworld was my group back during my jpop/jrock days. I thought Takuya was the most amazing singer in the world and I was confused I was going to marry him one day.

Just kidding, I’m not delusional.

But no, I did think he was a pretty good singer. He reminds me of Lee Hong Ki’s voice but Takuya’s is much softer. There’s actually a lot of songs by UVERworld that I like but my most favorite song is….Gold.

I love this performance.

Day 26: 35 Day Kpop/Jpop Song Challenge

Day 26: Favorite Rain song

Rain is just a sexy singer. That’s what I’ve been calling him. But I’m not picking one of those songs. For the longest time when I heard What I’d Do Once I Had a Lover, I didn’t know Yoseob and Gayoon covered it. But when I figured out G.Na and Rain originally sung it of course I had to find it and…I am so turn with which one I like better. But anyway, I love Rain’s voice in the song. Many people say his voice is too rough and sexy for the song, since it’s supposed to be romantic and cute, but I think it adds something new. Particularly a sexy vibe.
