[Song of the Week] Please Be Nice to Me {Kim Hyun Joong}

I heard this song on Pandora (even though I was on SHINee radio) and I liked it but I never wrote it down. So I’ve been humming it all week and I couldn’t figure out the name of it! It took a lot of work to find it finally.

Does anyone know the status of SS501? I’ve heard nothing.

Finally. My Top 50 Ballads.

I know, as much as I talk about loving ballads, I haven’t even put up an official list yet. So here it is. I actually had a list of 74 but I narrowed it down to 50. They all are accompanied with videos, most the actual music video if available and if not a video with the lyrics or a live will be posted. I must say, I’m not too particularly sure if all of these are ballads, some are just really slow songs with a soft beat, but I still call them ballads.

If only Kim Hyun Joong really acted like this.

I have to admit, I like Kim Hyun Joong more as a solo singer. His presence is just much stronger by himself. He has a voice that can sustain him. But the video to Kiss Kiss, the Japanese version, is quite nice actually. I really enjoyed the video. The acting in the video is really good, like shockingly good on Kim Hyun Joong’s part. He looks more natural which I hope he keeps when he starts acting again. Speaking of acting, his hair in this video reminds me of his Boys over Flowers days.

I have a like-dislike relationship with him. At first when I started getting into SS501 I couldn’t stand him because he came off arrogant. Then I watched a bit of him and I still thought the same thing. Then I watched him in Playful Kiss and I thought he was a terrible actor but he grew on me. And I have somewhat taken a liking to his voice since he’s been releasing solo signles but I’m not going to jump out and say I love his voice. I don’t think he’s like omfg gorgeous but he’s pretty good looking. And he does have some talent.
