Honestly, I’m kind of nonchalant about it. At this point, I don’t really care. I just thought that since I used to be a big fan I should at least acknowledge what happened.

I don’t understand ELFs or Cassies.

This is the exact reason why I’m not officially involved in any fandom. I didn’t even consider myself a real Cassie when I was into DBSK. Fandoms are so messy and they bring out the ugly side in fans. There’s always a problem with one fandom bashing another which I would just like to consider voicing your opinion. I think some people are confused with the real definition of bashing.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t consider saying you don’t like another group or pointing out why you don’t like them bashing them. If it was, then plenty of my rants are bashing groups/idols.  What does this have to do with ELFs or Cassies? Everything, because I’m always hearing it from some side.

An ELF bashing a Cassie…..A real ELF wouldn’t bash a Cassie.

Why wouldn’t an ELF bash a Cassie? Are speaking of the misinterpreted definition of bashing? I’d like to believe so. Does that mean a real Cassie can’t dislike Super Junior? I don’t see why they can’t, it’s all personal preference.

I should probably add SONEs in the title as well. I say I don’t like one song, particularly The Boys which I could have went all my life without hearing, and they are flipping their wigs as if I called the whole group fake. I might as well throw in all the fandoms. I mean they are necessary for a group to grow and gain popularity but some of the fans involved are just a bit delusional and might I add, sensitive. Let me just point out now, I am not generalizing all the Cassies or all the ELFs or all the SONEs as delusional and immature fans who can’t take criticism. It just so happens that they make up a part of the fandom that more often than not, is vocally expressive of how they feel.

No this is not what it sounds like. I’m not here to take sides because I think all that is about over with and years old now.

I find it very ironic how in many DBSK group pictures, it was usually JYJ on one side and HoMin on the other. There must be a reason I missed that a die hard fan knows.

Day 2: 20 Day Kpop Bias Challenge

Day 2: An edit of your bias in DBSK

I really considered not doing this day. I mean I’ve pretty started the process of detaching myself from DBSK but for this challenge I decided I’m going to do all the days.

And for this challenge, DBSK consists of Jaejoong, Yunho, Yoochun, Changmin, and Junsu because the challenge is about two or three years old.

So if you follow my blog not for my writing, you’d definitely know Jaejoong is my bias. Like ultimate bias. He was the one who got me into DBSK so I shouldn’t be surprised but when I first started listening to DBSK, I paid the least bit of attention to him. But over time, I just found more and more things to love about him.

And I’ve dedicated a few posts to him with the most popular one being this one.

The thing about Jaejoong is he pretty set the standards for the rest of my biases. The thing Iloved the most about him was his voice. He could sing, he could more than sing. He wasn’t just a talentless idol. His voice was beyond amazing. I could post a thousand videos of him signing but it wouldn’t make a difference. I’m sad to say his voice isn’t exactly as angelic as it used to be, but it’s definitely still beautiful.

Not to mention, he’s gorgeous. Oh yes, I said gorgeous. I can’t say he isn’t my bias anymore because that would be a complete lie. Although I’m not all “oh my gosh it’s jyj/dbsk!” I just can’t let go of him yet.

Finally. My Top 50 Ballads.

I know, as much as I talk about loving ballads, I haven’t even put up an official list yet. So here it is. I actually had a list of 74 but I narrowed it down to 50. They all are accompanied with videos, most the actual music video if available and if not a video with the lyrics or a live will be posted. I must say, I’m not too particularly sure if all of these are ballads, some are just really slow songs with a soft beat, but I still call them ballads.

The end of the DBSK Challenge?

The challenge I wanted to do oh so badly has finally came to an end. No, I did not finish the challenge. I thought that maybe, possibly, I’d have the urge to finish it as I do with my 35 Day Challenge but nothing ever came. I was really holding on to my love for DBSK because I’ve developed the mindset that no one, no other group, can ever live up to DBSK. Now and then I’ll start really getting into a group and then it just dies off.

There’s no point living in a fantasy, DBSK as I knew them no longer exists. My memories of them are plentiful but there are just memories and no longer reality. Was I Cassie? Maybe at one point I was. Am I still a fan of DBSK/JYJ? I guess you could call me a casual listener.

Here ends my love for DBSK. Officially.
